Wordless Wednesday

Help, he’s stopped sleeping in his bed and he’s on the floor now. I’d get all grumpy, but he’s autistic and he knows he needs us. That’s huge.

This is kind of a bad habit, but what about laying with him in his bed? C and I do that. Most of the time, he’s good with me being in his room until he falls asleep but sometimes, he will not stay in his bed unless I’m there with him.

nancy, he looks so adorable.
i know that having him sleep on the floor in your room seems like a huge pain, but that is what we did with evan. it took a least half a year, but the night-time screaming has pretty much stopped.
now we are trying bribery (ha!). if he sleeps in his bed for the whole night, he gets a piece of gum with breakfast. it has worked for 3 nights in a row. smile.
life with autistic kids. its a challenge! but you’re doing great!
