Thirteen Ways To Get Back into Writing.
I take most of the summers off from writing. Hard to write sexy books with kids underfoot. Next week I am starting back.
1. I will write for eight hours a day.
2. I will not check my e-mail between the hours of 9 and noon and 1 and four.
3. I will not answer the phone during writing times.
4. No surfing the web while I am supposed to be working.
5. I will feed my muse by reading for an hour a day. It’s not like I don’t have books to read.
6. I will watch my sugar, so I don’t crash.
7. I will exercise for half an hour a day.
9. I will eat good food.
10. I will not hate myself for screwing up and failing in any of the above.
11. I will work with my crit partners to make my work better.
12. I will get four books off my the first of December (I have several almost done).
13. I will stop telling myself negative things about my writing.

Oooh the email thing always gets me. Checking email is my best form of procrastination. Blog hopping is the 2nd.

Good luck with getting back into your writing, Nancy. I think #10 is my favorite.
