Favorite Things
By Nancy Lindquist | June 18, 2007
I’m a writer, which for me, means I don’t read like I used to. It’s still a favorite pastime, but with the kids home at night, the opportunity to get lost in a book is gone. I really miss that, but I need tow rite during the day, when the house is mostly quiet (Boys are home from school).
So, when my crit partner sent me an e-mail this morning, asking me to read something she wrote, I rejoiced. I love her work and I love reading it and if I’m helping her, I’m not reading for pleasure. It’s technically, work! Woohoo. So I can spend my day flopped out on the couch, reading. Lucky me. I love being a crit partner. Especially to someone as talented as Amanda Young. Works for me.
