Thirteen Things I’m Buying At The Grocery Store Today

By Nancy Lindquist | June 7, 2007

I’m hitting the grocery stores today. This is some of what I buy for my family of six people.

 1. Milk. Twelve gallons. We go through, alm0st a gallon a day.

2. Strawberries. I love them. It’s one of my few indulgences.

3. Vodka. I am making Penne Pasta with Vodka Cream Sauce and I’m out.

4. Parmesan Cheese. Fresh. None of that Green canned crap.

5. Steak. LOVE IT. I’m a meat eater.

6. Wine. Again, I need it for a recipe, but I’ll be drinking it too.

7. Lots of asparagus. The season is almost over.

8. Fingerling Potatoes. Not easy to find around here. I need them for a recipe.

9. Cheese-its. Gene-Gene can’t live without them.

10. Diet Coke. My addiction.

11. Boneless, skinless chicken. BLAND! but needed.

12. Bearnaise sauce mix. It’s my one cheat.

 13. Tickets to Cedar Point. We’re taking the boys next week. The prices are cheaper, if you buy the tickets here.

Sure that’s why you’re getting the vodka. ;-)

And I’m glad to know we’re not the only ones who go through milk like that. Sheesh!

    Have fun shopping. :)
