Time to Sell the Books!

I just figured out that I have four books hitting the net on the same day, the 26th of June. HELP! I don’t know why I didn’t put two and two together before. Okay, I’m a dork, but I didn’t. I knew it was close, I didn’t realize all the same day. I don’t know whether to freak out, cry, or be grateful I can get the pimping done all at the same time.
You think pimping is too strong a word? Okay, maybe it is, but I don’t like this part of being a writer. I want to be one of those writers with a huge following who has an agency handle all her sales pitches. I just don’t do well at this end of the business.
I don’t know whether it’s low self esteem, or stress, or not enough nookie. Whatever it is, I just think, “well, why would they buy your stuff, when they could…” and it all goes to heck in a handcart.
Sure, I screw up my courage and deal with it. We all do. The promotions translate to sales and someone who likes your work, and becomes a reader, is a precious gem. I love my readers! I adore them. I really do. I just wish I had an evil twin, who loved to handle the promotion end of things. I think a lot of writers feel that way. Most of us would rather just hide in our little corners and do what we do best, come up with wild and interesting stories. Sometimes, life just does not bow down to our wishes and get all easy. Drat it all, anyway.

Poor, poor darlin’! Four books to try to promote . Gee, maybe you should just…oh, I dunno…not write? I’m just yanking your chain, sweetie, LOL
I’m so proud of you; you are doing wonderfully well. I’m proud of me, too! I haven’t been writing every single day, but I’m getting a lot more serious about it.
Hey, one group of romance authors has what they refer to as “Promo Ho-la-days”! *grin*
