Thirteen Things I Love About Editing
1. I can fix my moronic mistakes.
2. I can make my characters motivations more clear.
3. I can re-read my work and think, “hmm, I don’t suck at this.”
4. I can build a relationship with my editor.
5. I learn where my weaknesses lie.
6. I learn where my strengths lie.
7. I surprise myself.
8. I horrify myself.
9. I immerse myself.
10. I free myself from doubt.
11. I gear up to tell people about my work.
12. I benefit from fresh eyes on my stuff.
13. It means that the writing process for this work is almost over and I can move on into a new project.

WOW! Thanks Nancy. I really struggle with just feeling stupid going through edits, this gives me new perspective.
