Nerves of Bent Rubber

By Nancy Lindquist | May 9, 2007

I suppose I should promote my summer reads, more. I will. I am deeply proud of what I do and how I write. I have a unique voice and I’m proud of it. I also get embarrassed pushing my work.

Someone else writes a novel and I’m all over it. I promote it here and in loops with a genuine and funky enthusiasm. I love to promote for others. Me? I’ve not yet built up the self  confidence to push my work with the gusto it deserves. Yes, I know, build a bridge and get over it. Summer’s here and I’ve got four books coming out. Push, push, push.

Except what if they don’t like it? Not that I know who they are, or why I give a crap about them. I like what I do and that should be enough. It’s what I would tell others, in my position. So now I have to walk the walk.

Help!

Nancy when I meet you I’m going to pop you! PROMOTE YOURSELF! While it’s wonderful to share what you think is good reading, never forget to add yourself to the list of good reads! Your books have a sharp and wicked sense of humor that I totally love, interesting story lines and…and..I can go on. *grin*

Gather some author friends and do a chat over at Chatting With Joyfully Reviewed and promote yourself until your’re blue in the face! Understand?????

*hugs* consider that some tough love!! *grin*
